Happy Birthday Timmy!

A very happy 4th birthday to our sweet boy, Timothy!

I am amazed at how much you have grown and changed since you came to us!  You were just one year old!
Such a sweet, little, chubby, bundle, of baby love!
I had not had any babies in our home in so long.  I longed for more children and felt so blessed to be given you.
You had some incredibly intense behavior issues from the drugs and neglect you went through.  The Lord has done a great work in you and is continuing to do so.  As the years go by, more and more of the hard behavior issues fall away.  Praise God!
You are precious!
You are such a joy and so very sweet.
Oh my!  As your hair grew in...the angelic curls.
I was smitten.
What a gift from God.
I could not bring myself to give you your first haircut for a long time.  I just could not cut those beautiful curls off.
At first it was just a trim.
Then a full cut.  What a change that hair made.  Look at the grown boy under them.
We all love you so very much.
I am forever grateful that God brought you to us.
Now you are four!  Such a big handsome boy!  Your favorite show is Octonauts and your favorite character is Peso.  You wanted Aunt "S" to make him on your cake.  She did an excellent job as always!  Thank you Aunt "S"!
You wanted to go to the zoo for your birthday...but that is a whole other post...    :)

Timothy, you are growing up so fast.  God has helped you come so far and you are a treasure to us.  A true blessing and have the sweetest most tender heart.  May you always be the Lords and live for Him.  May God have His mighty hand on you all the days of your life.

Five!!

Somebody turned five recently!

When we asked Billy what he wanted to do to make his birthday special last year, he said to go to a museum to see dinosaur bones.  We did take him to Chuck E Cheese last year but had such a busy year, we never got around to doing the museum.

He had talked about going off and on all year.  With Elizabeth's back rodding surgery and recovery, we just could not do it.  I made certain this year, for his birthday, we went. We took him to the Tellus Museum that is close to our home.  There are so many exhibits there, that we could never see it all in a day.  It was cheaper for us to get a membership, than for us to go for the day.  So ridiculous.  So we will be going back a few  more times over the course of the year to try to see all we missed.

Billy absolutely loved it.

I always pair up one older child with a younger one, to help the younger ones have the most enriched experience?  William!  Be a good example out in public please!
Much better.
We all had a great time.

Daddy even came with us this trip!

Billy, also really loved the section of Science in Motion, that includes an area on space exploration and the evolution of transportation.

How anyone can stand and look at the insides of a Mig-21 fighter plane, for so long, is beyond me.

The children started to get tired after a while, so we took them to the area that had the Fossil Dig and Gem Panning.
Most of the children, really enjoyed spending time quietly bushing the media away, to find the fossils.  Carolyn and Elizabeth panned for gems, typical girls.  :)

Billy really wanted macaroni and cheese for his birthday meal.  It is his favorite.  We hardly ever go out to eat but since it was his birthday, we took him out to eat for his meal.  He had the best time ordering his meal.  The waitresses came out, sang to him and gave him dessert.  He was over joyed!

For his cake this year, he asked Aunt "S" for a chocolate Larry Boy cake, with his name and a 5 on it.  Thank you Aunt "S", for making one little 5  year old boy, truly happy!

Billy, God is doing a great work in you and you have come sooooo far.  You are such a bright and fun young man to be around.  I can't believe you are five already!  We are truly blessed that you are our son!

1 Corinthians 13:4-8  Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,  Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;  Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;  Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.  Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
