When we asked Billy what he wanted to do to make his birthday special last year, he said to go to a museum to see dinosaur bones. We did take him to Chuck E Cheese last year but had such a busy year, we never got around to doing the museum.
He had talked about going off and on all year. With Elizabeth's back rodding surgery and recovery, we just could not do it. I made certain this year, for his birthday, we went. We took him to the Tellus Museum that is close to our home. There are so many exhibits there, that we could never see it all in a day. It was cheaper for us to get a membership, than for us to go for the day. So ridiculous. So we will be going back a few more times over the course of the year to try to see all we missed.
Billy absolutely loved it.
I always pair up one older child with a younger one, to help the younger ones have the most enriched experience? William! Be a good example out in public please!
Much better.
We all had a great time.
Daddy even came with us this trip!
Billy, also really loved the section of Science in Motion, that includes an area on space exploration and the evolution of transportation.
How anyone can stand and look at the insides of a Mig-21 fighter plane, for so long, is beyond me.
The children started to get tired after a while, so we took them to the area that had the Fossil Dig and Gem Panning.
Most of the children, really enjoyed spending time quietly bushing the media away, to find the fossils. Carolyn and Elizabeth panned for gems, typical girls. :)
Billy really wanted macaroni and cheese for his birthday meal. It is his favorite. We hardly ever go out to eat but since it was his birthday, we took him out to eat for his meal. He had the best time ordering his meal. The waitresses came out, sang to him and gave him dessert. He was over joyed!
For his cake this year, he asked Aunt "S" for a chocolate Larry Boy cake, with his name and a 5 on it. Thank you Aunt "S", for making one little 5 year old boy, truly happy!
Billy, God is doing a great work in you and you have come sooooo far. You are such a bright and fun young man to be around. I can't believe you are five already! We are truly blessed that you are our son!
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
What translation do you use for your Bible verses? Just curious. :o) This is one of my favorites, of course I know so many of us love it!
ReplyDeleteWe keep Tim in our prayers and pray he's doing well. It always makes us smile to see him. Love the picture of Zeke and the Dino and Billy & William & the dino! LOL!! How can you tell Billy and Timmy apart when they are running around!!? Elizabeth and Carolyn always look so beautiful! If my Isaiah was there he would be taking photos of everything on the Mig21 fighter plane control panel! LOL! He loves controls!
(((((((((HUGS)))))))))) Happy Birthday Timothy! Where does the time go? I just commented on Kat's blog that she's on the Freeway of life now, it just speeds up faster than fast! I just yelled to Tom its only 6 hours till tomorrow- LOL! (midnight) That's 10 minutes in our time!
Hello, I use KJV for all my Bible reading and quoting. Thank you for praying for Tim. He is doing well and is stable. Still to thin but we are working on that. :) My children don't always behave perfectly in public and often are cutting up and being silly. I enjoy them all having such a sense of humor. Billy is a year and a month older than Timmy so he is a little taller and Timothy has a red hint to his hair. Billy turning five has really struck hard with me as it shows how long they have been with us now. He was a toddler when he came and is now a little boy. As far as telling them apart though I call all the kids each others names all the time. :) I guess its my age showing? I have followed Kat's blog for a very long time as well. I don't even think she knows I exist but I pray for their family all the time and all they are going thru. I pray for you all daily as well. God brings you all to mind often. Much love from me here in the North Georgia mountains. Blessings!
DeleteHappy Birthday Billy! It looks like you had a wonderful day. : ) I can't believe how much bigger the boys have gotten since I found your blog Susan. They have a blessed life.
ReplyDeleteHe really did have a dream birthday. He is a very hard child. He is extremely hyper and has a very short attention span but did fabulous on that day! So well behaved, excited, happy and just glowed. Blessings!
