Happy First Day of Spring!
We have had a very wet winter with lots of rainy days in the
North Georgia Mountains this year. We
really needed the rain so I am not complaining.
I think our water table is back up to where it should be. We had horrible wind storms all winter and a
tornado came thru that did terrible destruction all around us. Praise God for His mercy, grace and
protection. We only had one very tall
tree come down and damage a few fences but parts of the neighborhood at the end
of our road is just gone.
The last
week or so has been so lovely, very spring like. The nights have been chilly and the days
sunny, bright and cheerful. One can
easily work outside with a light jacket on.
If it wasn’t for the brisk cool wind we would not even need that.

I really love this time of year as it reminds me of new beginnings. Fresh starts. That God’s mercy is new every morning.

This time of year we always have baby chicks
and baby goats. All the trees start to
bud and turn from brown, empty, reaching branches to all the shades of bright
fresh green one can imagine. Bradford
Pear trees bloom and all sorts of flowers brighten up the once dull landscape
with brilliant colors.
I always feel like cleaning house, rearranging furniture and
purging things we don’t use and need. A
time of renewal. God is so good to us
always. I love the variety of the
seasons and all they bring but it sure is wonderful to see spring come this
year. Happy Spring!
Song of Solomon 2:11-13
For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and
the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;
The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender
grape give a good smell. Arise, my love,
my fair one, and come away.
May The One True and Only God, maker of heaven and the earth
and all that is therein, bring renewal of health, strength and spring blessings
to you this year!
Blessings, susan
